I was playing in a roller hockey tournament at Joe Dumars Fieldhouse this weekend.

After one of our games was over, I walked over to the other rink and I saw that Alex Aleardi was playing for a team in another age group in the tournament so I took a picture. It is a little blurry but he was moving fast. Mitch Jones was there too but he was just watching the tournament.

I put up a few pictures of me and my team, Alkali Arsenal. We came in 3rd place which is cool but we like to do better. Oh well.

0-3. And only one point for the overtime loss.

My Arsenal team didn't do so great either. We got to the finals but lost. We finished 8-4 and came in second place for the second season in a row. Very frustrating. Here are some pictures. I am number 18 and the kid looking at the coach during the time out. We have a tournament over Christmas and then we start our next season in January.

I say both the Whalers and Arsenal really get it going in January and we both win the Championship!

Whalers whack the Wolves!

 

 

 

 

I see the Whalers beat the Wolves yesterday 6-2. I missed the game because I had to go to a special party for a friend of mine but my dad and brother went to the game and they were texting me during the game and after, they told me about it.

Rickard Rakell and Tom Wilson both got two goals which is great. I heard that Alex Aleardi put one in the net but it didn't count because the referees said they blew the whistle beforehand. Also I heard that Mitch Jones got a game misconduct after a fight in the second period and then he took a shift in the third period! I am sure our announcer Chris just made an error on that one. Because Mitch Jones somehow got back in the game after they announced a "game misconduct" for him, I put his photo up here. I give him the Whaler Town player of the game.

Before the Whalers game, my team Arsenal had our first game against the Leafs and we won 12-7. I did get a penalty for slashing and my mom took a picture of me in the penalty box and here it is. Our team, Arsenal came in second place last season and we are better this year so we are looking for first place.

Next Saturday, we are going to see the Whalers beat the Niagra Ice Dogs. Go Whalers!

Hey, Colin MacDonald is the captain this year!

I like that because I like Colin. He is a defenseman and stops people.

I like it when he comes to my school too! (On the right and with Cody Payne also)

We don't have captains on my team, Arsenal. When we get a penalty, our coach says we have to go straight to the penalty box and he will handle talking to the referee.

I play defense so I get some penalties trying to stop people. When I am in the penalty box, my mom usually takes a picture. I think the pictures are still on her phone which is good. I am number 18 and we have the camouflage jerseys. I chose number 18 two years ago for Alex Aleardi of the Whalers but he changed his number to 40 and I just kept number 18 because I like it.

I looked at our schedule and it looks like there is a team called the Whalers in our league this season. It better not be Plymouth.
