I got in another picture on the Whalers website

But just my hand when I was slapping hands with the Whalers.

This was a playoff game against the Sarnia Sting and this is Michael Whaley when the Whalers were coming out for warmups.

My hand is on the left with the blue Whalers jersey and the white shirt on the lower sleeve. I am too small to reach over the railing to slap hands so us little kids lay on the steps and reach out under the glass and slap hands that way. The players are cool and see us and slap our hands.

Love the Whalers.

Whalers beat Guelph in overtime!

I think after losing those 7 games in a row that the Whalers are back now. Tonight, the Whalers beat the Guelph Storm 3-2 in overtime. It was a good defensive game and the shots were even. Not very many penalties or power plays. In overtime, Connor Carrick got the puck at the blue line and shot it not too hard but it was in the air and got by the goalie who I think was screened.

We really like Connor Carrick. He is an offensive defenseman and carries the puck in the zone for scoring chances but he doesn't make many mistakes on defense either. Connor is drafted by the Washington Capitals and he will probably be in the NHL one day. Because Connor won the game, I give him the Whaler Town player of the game.

I wore my Ottawa Senators Jason Spezza jersey that I got for Christmas for the first time. Here are pictures of it. During warmups I was slapping hands with the players and Michael Whaley saw the jersey and said "Go Senators!" Whaley is usually pretty friendly. I once saw him in Target but I didn't talk to him. My dad said he probably would have talked to me.

The Whalers play three weaker teams next week and maybe they can win all three. That would be great.

Knights shut out the Whalers

The Knights shut out the Whalers 5-0 yesterday. Not a good game but the Whalers did not play badly until the middle of the third period when things were getting a little sloppy. It was another sellout and I think there were even more people there than Friday night so that is good.

In pregame warmups, Stefan Noesen broke the glass behind the Whalers net with a shot and the glass had to be cleaned up and replaced before the game could start so the game started a little late. I have seen the glass break before. There were people taking pictures of it. I was down by the locker room with the Kids Club and we had to wait a long time for the players to come out for player introductions.

The Whalers didn't score but I give Michael Whaley the Whaler Town player of the game because he is doing a good job killing penalties and has done it all year.

There was some good news. Yesterday, I tried out for the Arsenal tournament travel team, the Arsenal 02's and I made the team! I already play on the regular Arsenal team but this team is the tournament team and we are going to travel and even play in Mississauga at the Hershey Center where the Steelheads play. So there was some some good stuff yesterday.

Oh I got hit with a puck in my left shoulder in my game yesterday and it still hurts. We lost and we are 5-2 now so my game was rough too.

Stefan Noesen and the Whalers beat the Spitfires

The Whalers beat the Windsor Spitfires yesterday 5-3. The game was sold out which is good but it is a little hard to walk around when there are so many people there.

As usual, Windsor was getting really physical and taking a lot of penalties especially in the first period. Windsor has this new player who is number 66 and his name is Ho-Sang or something like that and he looks pretty fast and good. He needs to pass more though because he was always trying to stickhandle the puck through our defenders and it wasn't working.

They have Sieloff too, number 10 who was playing physical and talking a lot. I think those are the Spitfires good guys.

Michael Whaley scored his first goal of the year and that was cool. He had a good game forechecking too and harassing the Spitfires. We like Whaley.

Stefan Noesen was awesome and had two goals and two assists. He is always with Rickard Rakell now and they are looking good. I give Stefan Noesen the Whaler Town player of the game.

I also saw Nick Malysa walking around with a cast on his hand so that is not good and he is going to be missing some games. Oh well.

I think the Whalers forgot that I won the Kids Club signed photo two weeks ago because I won a signed photo of Alex Aleardi again last night but that is ok. I will take it. I wasn't even listening because I won two weeks ago and my dad said "They just announced your name. You won again!" I said "What?" and then I saw my name on the big screen so I went and got my signed photo.

Ok, we are going to see the Whalers play the London Knights tonight. I have tryouts for a tournament travel hockey team, the Arsenal 02's just before but I think can get to the Whalers game before it starts. Well, I hope so.
