Spitfires crash at Compuware!

 

The Whalers beat the Spitfires tonight 3-0. It was a good game and a fun one to watch.

The Whalers outshot the Spitfires by a lot. We thought the Spitfires were ok for the first two periods but in the third period they started taking really dumb penalties and getting kicked out of the game. We sit right by the visitors tunnel and each time the Spitfire players were getting kicked out and went to the tunnel, I was standing up and waiving goodbye to them. A lot of them were slamming the door and that is cool.

That Patrick Sieloff is a rough player and he was throwing some real big hits. He is tough. At the end, he was losing it and was threatening players on the ice and then going to the Whaler bench and threatening everybody. The Whalers were laughing at him on the bench especially Rickard Rakell who was leaning over and laughing like crazy.

I give the Whaler Town player of the game to Gianluca Curcuruto who played good defense and was putting shots on the goal from the point. We never noticed before how hard his shot is. Gianluca's best play was when Windsor had a four on one and Gianluca was the only one back and he stopped them all on his own. The crowd was really cheering on that. Me too.

Next game is Friday against Kingston.
